Checking to see what your municipalities do when it comes to pre-manufactured sheds? Ones you can buy from places Peavey Mart, Home Hardware, Home Depot, etc.? Something like these:

We do development permits and building permits at our municipality. Recently, I did a development permit for a pre-manufactured metal shed, it meet our Land Use Bylaw requirements. However it could not meet requirements of building code as the suppliers do not have engineered plans for these pre-manufactured sheds and the building permit ended up being refused. I believe most of the companies that sell and supply pre-manufactured sheds do not have engineered plans, I’ve researched a couple of suppliers and they had disclaimers stating that.

The only types our Land Use Bylaw restricts in residential are tent garages (rolled and folded structures). Was curious to see how your municipality approaches them? Do you allow them or don’t allow them? Allow them, but with conditions?

Appreciate comments and feedback.
