In the past year our County has started doing more conditional approvals for development permits, but that makes it so there is a 21 day period until the effective date of the permit. I like the idea of having conditions, but I could understand how the 21 days isn’t really something people want to wait for when it comes to the project and deadlines/weather, etc.
How does your team handle conditional approvals or conditions that you want to be met for a development permit (permitted use). Do you just do it in the development permit and say wait 21 days or do you do a development agreement on the side that outlines all the conditions there?
