I am wondering if any other municipality accepts electronic development and building permit submissions from their website. Where the applicant would fill out the development permit and building permit application forms electronically directly on the website and attach any necessary paperwork as well and then it would submit somewhere for a staff member to then enter into eSite? If so, how do you accept payment? Or do you then contact the applicant after electronic submission to obtain payment?

We are trying to figure out if this is possible and how it works for processing from anyone who accepts permits to be submitted this way.

We currently use eSite to enter and issue DP and BP permits and our inspection agency enters the gas, electrical and plumbing for us in eSite.
