We have been getting a lot of inquiry about Home Based Business where the only actual business on the parcel is the home office, the remainder of the business happens offsite. An example of one is equipment rentals, the landowner has farm equipment on an agriculture parcel but he is retired so he uses his equipment and his expertise as a side business to work for other people in the area. Another example is a mobile mechanic.
How are these handled in your municipality? We have a Home Based Business 1, which doesn’t require a permit but must have very little traffic or nuisance to neighbours which sort of fits a mobile operation.
